Tonight, September 5th, marks a special, one-night-only local event (10:00 PM – 12:00 AM): the climax of the Yamanaka Suwa Shrine Annual Festival. It is a rare and unique tradition where pregnant women and their families carry a portable shrine through the night to pray for a safe delivery.
The festival takes place regardless of the weather! The conditions actually add a dramatic and mystical atmosphere to the occasion, ensuring an unforgettable experience at Lake Yamanaka.
